1. Before removing supercharger belt, check for blower deflection by squeezing belt. If blower movement is seen, blower should be braced to prevent premature belt failure. Call Auto Specialties for recommendations.
2. Remove supercharger and accessory belts. Remove original pulleys. For easier access to crank pulley, remove shroud by removing two upper bolts and over flow hose. Pull shroud and clutch fan up together.
3. Remove tensioner pulley. Install Auto Specialties tensioner pulley with spacer & bolt from 8 rib Paxton kit. (Bolt & space available at extra charge if required.) Snap ring on tensioner pulley should be installed toward radiator. Install tensioner in upper or lower bracket hole as required. Apply Loctite 271 on threads. Torque nut to 45-50 ft./lbs. Do not over torque.
4. Install new pulleys. Internal hex bolts are provided for crank pulley. Tighten bolts evenly. Use Loctite thread lock #242 (or equivalent) to secure bolts. Insure that blower and tensioner pulleys are in alignment. Correct as required to prevent excessive rub on sides of belt.
5. Install accessory belt Gates K060888 on 87-93. If underdrive water pump and alternator pullley is used, install Gates belt K060900. Install cog belt. Tension with 60-65 lbs. of force on tensioner pulley. Do not over tighten.
6. Tighten two tensioner bracket bolts sufficiently to prevent tebsioner pulley from pushing upward under load. If belt loosens, belt ratching (teeth jumping) may result, destroying belt teeth. Retighten belt after first run. Check belt tension frequently.
