Auto Specialties recommends these pulleys be installed by a qualified mechanic.

1. Remove existing belt and pulleys. Remove spacer ring from behind factory alternator pulley.

2. Install new pulley/pulleys. (Install ring, if supplied, into harmonic balancer.) Use Loctite Thread Lock #242, or equivalent, to secure bolts.

3. Install new Gates belt or equivalent as follows: 88-93 Truck: Gates K061000 w/air pump (use same belt with alternator pulley). 90-93 454 Truck: Gates belt K060938 w/o air pump (use same belt with alt. pulley). All vehicles w/ac.

4. Ensure adjustment marks on tensioner are within limit marks.
