Auto Specialties recommends these pulleys be installed by a qualified mechanic.
1. Loosen crank pulley center bolt and three mounting bolts.
2. Loosen all belt adjustment screws on smog pump, alternator, AC and power steering pump. Remove belts.
3. Remove crank pulley bolts and pulley. Remove alternator pulley if new alternator pulley is supplied with kit.
4. Install Auto Specialties crank & (alt.) pulley. Torque bolts to 50 ft/lbs approximately. Use Loctite thread loc #242, or equivalent, to secure bolts.
5. Install power steering belt, AC, alternator and original belt on smog pump. Adjust power steering belt first. Tighten power steering mounting bolts. Adjust and tighten AC, alternator and smog pump. (See back for belt part numbers.)
6. We recommend warm idle speed for automatic cars set at 650-700 RPM in drive; standard shift 700-750.
