Auto Specialties recommends that these pulleys be installed by a qualified mechanic.

1. Loosen alternator nut with impact socket and swivel. Loosen four water pump and crank pulley bolts, remove belt.

2. Remove factory pulleys and install underdrive pulleys. Install crank pulley with shallow side against harmonic balancer.

3. Reinstall factory belt. On 5.0 Cobra Mustang, remove and bypass factory idler pulley in order to retain factory belt. Tighten all bolts and alternator nut. (Use Loctite thread Loc #242 or equivalent to secure bolts.)

4. Insure tensioner mark is within the limit marks. Turn on vehicle and inspect pulleys for any wobbles and that belt is properly seated in pulleys.
